  Water Walk
as Bank Teller

A NEW FILM BASED ON THE BOOK BY STEVEN FAULKNER

They traveled 1,000 miles and found... each other
“We are rivers on the move, every one of us, with just enough rock and silt to keep us from running away.”
When Steven Faulkner and his 17-year-old son Justin began retracing the thousand-mile Joliet/Marquette discovery route of the Mississippi, they were only tourists on a two month holiday. But as they started their journey at the straits of Mackinac and paddled along the Lake Michigan shoreline, they discovered why it had been 300 years since anyone had attempted to re-create this epic voyage to Green Bay, up the Fox River, down the Wisconsin and finally the mighty Mississippi to St. Louis. Tired, hungry, lost, lonely, fogbound, canoe wrecked, unable to make their way in the darkness, they discovered a chain of dams that forced them to portage over 100 miles.
Based on Steven Faulkner’s acclaimed true story, this independent film will be shot in Michigan, Wisconsin and Missouri this summer. Starring Robert Cicchini, a veteran Hollywood actor who has appeared in more than 100 films and television programs including Dream Girls, War of the Worlds, Primary Colors and Godfather III, Waterwalk will open in more than 100 theaters across the midwest. Director of photography Bruce Schermer was lead cinematographer on Michael Moore’s debut hit, Roger & Me as well as Sundance Grand Prize Winner Chameleon Street.
Faulkner’s story which has drawn praise from Plainsong author Kent Haruf (“This is the quintessential journey—a trip far outward, deep inward—to see what you’re made of... exciting reading) and Blue Highways author William Least Heat-Moon (“well done”) is destined to become a classic road (or should that be ‘river’) movie.

I was lucky enough to be cast in the upcoming short film "The Exemption of Hunter Riley" as Katherine Riley, mother to 11 y/o Hunter. Principal photography took place Spring and Summer 2008 in Chicago, IL and is now hitting the film festival circuit.  This may be a short, but it provides some serious content.

.......A compelling story about a boy named Hunter Riley.  He recently lost his father and has endured moving to a new community with his mother to start a fresh outlook on life.  Unfortunately he is the prime target for being bullied at his new school.  As we follow him through what should be a typical day at school, we experience the hellish environment of bullying that Hunter is subjected to as his gratitude for life without his father slowly diminishes........
